The Electric Blue Jack Demsey is a uncommon but natural variant of Nandopsis octofasciatum. Adorned in brilliant blue, this showcase cichlid is typically smaller and reported to be less aggressive than its popular counterpart. Highly sought after over the years, supply is always limited due to this being a somewhat difficult variety to breed and the fry can be challenging to raise. This listing is for two unsexed juveniles.
The Electric Blue Jack Dempsey requires an aquarium of at least 29 gallons, and prefers a sand or gravel bottom. There should be rocks and roots for them to hide among. The plants should be hardy as the Electric Blue Jack Dempsey will burrow around and attempt to shred them.
We raise our Electric Blue Jack Dempseys in a Ph of 7.8 with a 200+ PPM hardness. This works for the tap water that most hobbiest in the Untied States use.
All of the fish offered in this listing will be a minimum of one inch or bigger. We only sell Electric Blue jack Dempseys that we purchase from a local fish farm that specializes in Electric Blue Jacks in order to ensure our customers the best quality. About myself
I have been dealing with aquarium fish on a wholesale level since 1990. I have worked for many the largest aquarium fish suppliers in the country doing everything from packing fish to general manager. I have personally hand collected fish in Central America for the aquarium fish hobby. I have owned my business for many years and raised a wide variety of fish in the last three decades. My current facility consists of three buildings and two greenhouses with a mixture of hundreds of aquariums and several dozen vats. Total under cover is approximately 7,500 square feet. Over the years I have handled millions of Aquarium fish, invertebrates, and amphibians and packed hundreds of thousands of bags. Aquarium fish are my life and my passion. This is my Dream job; I would never want to do anything else. I hope when you open your box of fish you will be able to see my passion for the aquarium hobby.
